What You're Up Against

Four classic strongman events. No weight classes. Just you vs. everyone else. May the strongest win.

Event 1

Overhead Log Press

Max Weight

Last man standing. The bar starts at 150 lb and goes up 50 lb every round. Strict press or push press. Just get it overhead and lock it out.

Yoke Carry

Fastest Time

538 lbs on your back. Down and back. Keep it upright, don't drag it, and finish before the clock runs out. Fastest time wins.

Event 3

Atlas Stone

Max Reps

250 lbs for men, TBD for women. Load it over a chest-height bar for as many reps as possible in 2 minutes. Spotters help reset the stone between reps.

Deadlift 405

Max Reps

405 lbs. 60 seconds. Full lockout every single rep with a controlled descent. Straps, belt, and sleeves allowed. Strongman rules, no deadlift suits.

Husafell Stone Carry for Distance

Used only if athletes are tied on total points. Pick it up and walk as far as you can. Any drop ends your attempt. The stone decides who wins.

How Scoring Works

Standard strongman points are awarded after each event. Add them up across all four. Highest total wins.

Ties. If athletes finish with equal total points, the winner is determined by performance in the Husafell Stone Carry tiebreaker.

What to Expect

Doors open at 10 AM and we run through the rest of the day. Here's the rough flow. Come for an event or stay for all of it.

Doors Open & Check-In

Athletes check in, spectators grab a spot, and the gym starts buzzing. Get there early to settle in.

Morning

Athlete Briefing & Warm-Ups

Rules walkthrough, event order, and warm-ups before the iron starts moving.

Midday

The Competition

Log Press, Yoke Carry, Atlas Stone, and Deadlift run back to back. This is the loud part.

Afternoon

Tiebreaker & Awards

If it's close, the Husafell Stone settles it. Then we crown Dothan's Strongest Man and Woman.

Times are approximate and run at the Director's discretion. A finalized schedule goes out to registered athletes before event day.

Do I need strongman experience to compete?
Nope. This is an unsanctioned event built for fun and bragging rights, so first-timers are welcome alongside seasoned lifters. Everyone competes in the same Open division. If you train hard and want to test yourself, you belong here.
What if I can't lift one of the listed weights?
The weights are fixed for this competition, so come prepared to attempt them. If you can't complete an event you'll still score, just lower in the standings. Part of the challenge is seeing how far you can push. Train up and give it everything on the day.
How many spots are available?
The field is capped at 10 men and 10 women. Once those spots are gone, they're gone. Registering early during the Early Bird window is the surest way to lock in your place and save $15.
How do I register?
All registration, scoring, and athlete management is handled through Strongest.com. Click any "Register" button on this site and it'll take you straight there to sign up and pay.
What's the difference between Early Bird and Regular registration?
Early Bird is $65 and runs through July 31, 2026. After that, Regular registration is $80. Both include your competition T-shirt. Same event, same spot, just a better price if you sign up early.
What equipment is allowed?
Standard strongman rules apply. Straps, a belt, and knee sleeves are allowed on the deadlift, but no deadlift suits. Bring your own chalk, sleeves, and belt. Event implements (log, yoke, stones, bar) are all provided.
Can I come just to watch?
Absolutely, and we hope you do. Spectator tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door, and kids 12 and under get in free with a parent or guardian. Every ticket helps support Full Strength Faith Ministries.
Where does the money go?
This event is a fundraiser for Full Strength Faith Ministries (fsfmin.org). Registration fees and spectator tickets go toward supporting their mission.
What time does it start and how long does it run?
