The Competition
Four classic strongman events. No weight classes. Just you vs. everyone else. May the strongest win.
Event 1
Last man standing. The bar starts at 150 lb and goes up 50 lb every round. Strict press or push press. Just get it overhead and lock it out.
Event 2
538 lbs on your back. Down and back. Keep it upright, don't drag it, and finish before the clock runs out. Fastest time wins.
Event 3
250 lbs. Load it over a chest-height bar for as many reps as possible in 2 minutes. Spotters help reset the stone between reps.
Event 4
405 lbs. 60 seconds. Full lockout every single rep with a controlled descent. Straps, belt, and sleeves allowed. Strongman rules, no deadlift suits.
Used only if athletes are tied on total points. Pick it up and walk as far as you can. Any drop ends your attempt. The stone decides who wins.
Points System
Standard strongman points are awarded after each event. Add them up across all four. Highest total wins.
Who Can Compete
No weight classes, no ranking requirements. Just show up ready to compete. The field is capped, so spots go fast.
No weight limit. No qualifying total required. Open to all male competitors.

Doors open at 10 AM and we run through the rest of the day. Here's the rough flow. Come for an event or stay for all of it.
Athletes check in, spectators grab a spot, and the gym starts buzzing. Get there early to settle in.
Rules walkthrough, event order, and warm-ups before the iron starts moving.
Log Press, Yoke Carry, Atlas Stone, and Deadlift run back to back. This is the loud part.
If it's close, the Husafell Stone settles it. Then we crown Dothan's Strongest Man.
Times are approximate and run at the Director's discretion. A finalized schedule goes out to registered athletes before event day.

Registration runs through Strongest.com and every entry includes a competition T-shirt. With only 10 spots total, Early Bird is the smart move.

Caleb owns Efurd's Gym, the home base where the competition goes down. If you're throwing weight around that day, you're doing it on his platform.
Head Judge & Organizer
Neal runs the event and serves as head judge, keeping every lift fair and the day on schedule. If a rep counts, he's the one who makes the call.
